My expertise also includes conducting Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (dFMEA) to identify and mitigate potential risks in products. I excel in creating comprehensive action plans to address unacceptable risks, ensuring that products are safe, reliable, and compliant with industry standards.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Led a multidisciplinary cross-functional team through all project phases, from conceptualization to design transfer, ensuring seamless execution and achievement of project goals.

  • Compiled comprehensive product specifications by analyzing input. Organized review sessions involving program managers and product team to verify that all end user needs and requirements are satisfied.

  • Initiate the design process by creating CAD models for concepts, overseeing the fabrication of prototypes, and implementing controls to ensure compliance with product specific standards.

  • Perform Design Effectiveness Testing (DEA) to ensure the control design is adequate. Also conduct dFMEA to address risk associated with different component and formulate action plans to mitigate them.

  • Assessing manufacturing requirements and capabilities prior to the design transfer into manufacturing facilities, review of process data to ensure operational consistency.

  • Identify cost reduction opportunities and apply design for manufacturing on new products to achieve cost targets, improve manufacturability and standardization.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Designed & developed the following projects from the conceptualization stage to manufacturing while leading a team of 4-5 people.

  • Lead the development team of single-stage regulators and solenoid valves as per compliance of ISO 10524, while working with electrical, plastic molder and test engineer.

  • Analyzed models to encounter production incapability, aid design process of complex parts and conduct FMEA analysis on prototypes to determine durability from cycling or seismic tests.

  • Developed test facilities to monitor the performance of new amendments against predicate and generate a comprehensive report for design verification.

  • Documented Design History File and control over all the documents to avoid redundancies and achieve a high level of regulatory standards.

  • Assisted and accomplished a recertification audit for ISO 9001:2015.

  • Implemented continuous improvement process to improve efficiency and productivity on shop-floor (Incorporated Kanban cards and altering machining layout to simulate smooth material flow and reduced waste) to provide adequate transformation towards Six-sigma (Adopted DMAIC approach).
